The Stuttgart Breuninger is wonderful to walk through. But for shopping?

After I always came out empty-handed during my last - admittedly long ago - visits, I still hoped that in the meantime Breuninger had also come to the realization that even large sizes could find buyers. As a precaution, I first looked into the web shop and was horrified.

It is sad that among the 2829 dresses that are offered in the Breuninger web shop there are 9 (in words NINE) dresses in size 50. And among the 1466 "swimwear" just ONE swimsuit. Somehow I can't imagine that things look fundamentally different in the branch.

The stationary retail sector need not be surprised why fewer and fewer people come to their branches. Why should I if I don't even want to sell me anything?

The only question is: why? Why does a company refrain from even addressing a not insignificant group of buyers with a basic offer? What is understandable in a small boutique with limited space does not make sense for a provider with such large houses and an online shop.

One could almost think that it is a subtle form of discrimination ... but let's just assume that it is just plain thoughtlessness.
