The Broadmoor is a very bad expensive trip! Every exchange had a 20% tip included from the hotel - last time I checked, people have to earn their tip. For our anniversary we stayed in the premiere room at $500+ per night with a view of the mountains, yes, as well as the noise and fumes of the parking lot below and extremely loud mechanical equipment on the roof next to our window. The phone receiver didn't work, the refrigerator didn't cool, making the reservation they didn't send the itinerary, they don't manage their own reservations for everything - like the pool. So instead of one clean communication it was a jumble of emails and not what I asked for. Food was either over cooked or with freezer burn, shrimp was soggy, room service sandwich with stale bread. We had a farm to table that got canceled because of rain and did they offer us a discount...no. Instead they gave a brief cooking demonstration and buffet food with dry chicken, gamy fish, and a sloppy pile of pasta. They've got their hand out for a tip at every move you make. What a poorly managed experience! I will never return to this rip-off joint.
