VICTEM OF THEIR OWN SUCCESS!

VICTEM OF THEIR OWN SUCCESS!

First time at this legendary KC rib joint on a Saturday for lunch. Dissapointed to say the least. Ordered 2 Meat Combo: burnt ends and short ribs. An angry & tired guy rudly barked that it would be 15 minutes on the ribs. After waiting 15 minutes and watching 3 slabs of ribs go out I was told the ribs still were not ready and asked if I'd like something else instead! Opted for the the beef brisket, which was pale and minimally flavored. Finally, the part of the meal I was looking most forward to-- the burnt ends--- tasted like dry chunks of roast beef buried in red sauce. They weren't ends AND THEY WEREN'T BURNT EITHER! To top it off, the sauces were unremarkable, tasting mostly of salt.

If it was not for 1) reputation and 2) a never ending stream of tourists (suckers) this place would have already gone out of business. Sadly, the new owners of Arthur.Bryant's are too successful to care about the reputation they are destroying.
