I came to DFW from Oklahoma to see a specific car at another dealership. On my way there, they sold it. So, I went to Vandergriff Hyundai because they had a similar car. Victor was a nice sales person. Easy to work with. They initially told me the price was higher than the listed price displayed online, but they came back down once I started to walk out. After being approved for a loan, I went to speak with the finance manager. I wanted a warranty, since we want to keep this vehicle for a while. Boy, I didn't know how expensive warranties can be! It was clear we couldn't get the car and the warranty, so I decided to not buy the car. We couldn't afford the payment with the expensive warranty. Before I could leave, the manager came over and offered a FREE warranty! Wow, that was unexpected.
Thanks to Vandergriff and that manager for not letting me walk away without making that sale. Not only did I get a car at lower than it's actual value by walking away from the table the first time, but I got a free warranty by walking away from the financing room! I wonder if they'll do this for everyone?
