My Husband and I always bring family and friends t...

My Husband and I always bring family and friends that are visiting us from the lower 48 to Simon & Seafort s. This evening was very special to us both. We treated our Daughter in Law and our Grandson to what we bragged about the best Alaska seafood restaurant in Anchorage. It was her birthday to top it off. Well, my husband and I are soooooooo embarrassed with this evenings dinner tonight. I have apologized over and over to her for such a disappointing Alaska Seafood birthday dinner!

I had made reservations for 1630 Friday the 17th of August. When we arrived, I went to the front desk to let the Hostess know that our party has arrived for our reservation. After giving my name, as I put on the reservation, she went on to say that there was not a reservation for my name. I repeated my name over and and finally the Hostess located my reservation. She gave us our card and went into the bar area to wait for our table. Well, folks were going in right and left to the dining area. My husband went up to check on our reservation and was told that they were getting the hi-chair together. So time went on, folks continued to be taken to the dinning room. I then excused myself from our table in the bar area and went to the a Hostess to ask what was the issue delaying us from our reservation. She once again asked my name, I told her and of course she could not find it! I repeated my name over and over......she could still not find it! She requested my card that was given to me at the beginning, the card that I was told to give to our waiter. I explained to her that I gave it to the waiter as told to. They never received it from the waiter. She turned to a Hostess and told her to take us to our table. I went back in to get the rest of my family. I asked the hostess if I needed to carry our drinks.....she said uuummmmm yes I guess! So at this time I am a little upset but tried not to show it in front of the family, since it was a speacial occasion! We got situated and placed our order. Time went by and I was observing other tables getting their food prior to us and they came at least 20 to 30 minutes after us. My grandson was getting tired and his mood was getting upset. We had waited over 75 minutes for our dinner to be brought to us! It was cold, the King Crab legs were not cut as requested, our drinks were not ever refreshed, our server (which has been there for some time now because we know of him) served the appetizer and salads, and that was it! Our main course was brought to us by another employee, and it was cold. After tracking down our server......and letting him know that our food was cold, he said I will take care of this. Well he warmed it by a quick warmer, or whatever they call it. Now my husband had Rare prime rib 12 oz, I had the halibut. When our food came back, my husbands prime rib was not longer Rare, and looked dried out. My halibut was so dry I could not eat it. My husband then got up and went to locate the Manager. Daryl, Manager came over to speak with me and he said to us both that he will take care of this by getting us new dinners. Since it now was almost 2 hours of being there, and my grandson sleeping on our daughter in laws chest , we requested that our dinners just be boxed up to go! Daryl said to me that he would get me a new halibut dinner because no one should eat dry halibut because that is not good. I also had to remind them that it was our daughter in laws birthday, and they gave her a choice between two deserts. All the food was boxed to go, and brought to us in a brown bag. We were told that we had fresh dinners prepared for my husband and I. Well guess what? My husbands prime rib was rare, but I do believe it was an 8oz, not a 12oz that he ordered. My halibut was the SAME piece of fish!!!!!! Dry as ever, and cut in sections as I cut it to see if it was dry all the way through. So i did not receive a fresh meal! So disappointed, only $300 bill, not sure we will ever return again. Unsatisfactory!!!!!
