I would never recommend this ADT re-seller to anyo...

I would never recommend this ADT re-seller to anyone. After seeing a television ad featuring what I thought to be a reputable football player (Danny White you should be ashamed to be associated) and terms and conditions that appeared to be fair and competitive, I called to inquire about their services. My mistake. The phone salesman was extremely pushy and advised that it would not cost me anything to get a quote on my home alarm system. He was obviously taught to never take no for an answer. He was a obviously a good student. He replied to all of my inquires with "that is a good question now when can we set your installation appointment." He finally wore me down and we set an appointment.

The technician arrived and made a bad situation even worse. He advised that I needed "additional protection" and his presentation was both confusing and aggressive. Now my cost was going to be $2,500. He even went so far to advise me that they constantly monitored their competitors and told me numerous "facts" about one competitor that were absolutely false and misleading. He left the house (3) times to call his manager to see about getting a better deal. He first advised that each window needed a sensor but that changed to a glass breakage detector that could do it all. He was pushy, unprofessional and would not leave. I was getting afraid of his even being in my house. Finally he advised me I had (7) days to review the contract and could cancel the entire deal if I was not satisfied during this period. He rushed me through the contract and told me "don't worry about that." The final cost ended up being $1,000 plus the nearly $60/month monitoring fee. Far and above what got my initial interest.
(3) days later I received a letter from the company and in it was the advisement that I really only had (3) days to cancel my contract and it happened to be on the day the letter arrived. Needless to say, voicemails and emails sent immediately to my original salesman went completely ignored.
Calling the next day to discuss the situation proved to be an exercise in futility. A rude customer service representative basically told me to bad. A request to talk about the situation with her supervisor was met with her telling me it didn't matter anyway, her supervisor would just tell me it was too bad also and would not let me even talk to this person. Emails sent went unanswered, further calls were me with representatives that advised that helping their customer was very important to them and then they launched into the "too bad" scripted response.
Deciding that the President of the company was probably unaware of this type of customer service, I sent a detailed email to him directly explaining the experience I had with his company. Of course, true to form for this company, Security Alarm Now, it went unanswered. Of course when I checked the Better Business Bureau on this company they had an "F" rating. So, it appears that my only course of action is to get this word out to anyone and everyone that is even thinking of using this company for their home security needs to quickly run away. DO NOT USE this company. Don't believe any of their advertisements. I have filed an official compliant with ADT and I do not plan to stop there. I may be in a "too bad" situation but they are going to see my poor review of their company anywhere I can find to file one. I hope this review can save someone from the same bad experience I had.
