Friedges is working with our city to get an approval for a Planned Unit Development in my neighborhood. Our area is zoned Rural Residential - our wetlands offer a safe heaven for the wildlife, already displaced from many areas in the Twin Cities. Turtles, turkeys, owls, herons, deer, turkey vouchers and other precious wildlife finds refuge in our neighborhood.
In order to maximize profits, Friedges is proposing an increase in unit density, bypassing compliance with regulations. They have not conducted any environmental impact studies on how development of a dozen of septic fields directly adjacent to the wetlands would affect the environment.
While we would wholeheartedly welcome new neighbors, Friedges is clearly an incompetent and inadequate developer, who is looking to make a quick buck without considering long-term consequences to our cherished ecosystem.
