We did not know how we got it in the end. We suddenly had debts to 10 creditors. We were paralyzed, paid an amount here and there another amount. We paid what we could to keep everyone quiet. Some times we could not pay our rent and came close to an eviction complaint. Ultimately, this here-there did not pay anything. It was all interest and fees on it. At any rate, the debts did not become less. Finally we turned to Plan-Finanz 24 about which we had read a lot of good things here. A short-term appointment was even possible at home. It turned out that my income was so high only because of the night shifts and overtime, and in fact we did not need to pay that much. We were recommended a lawyer who could advise us here legally. We also contacted the lawyer and that was good. The lawyer sent a repayment plan to everyone. It was pointed out how it would look for everyone in a bankruptcy. Since we had offered significantly more, this plan was accepted except for a collection and the GEZ. For these two we had to pay an extra rate. Finally everything is in order and we will be fine again. We pay the rent again on time.
