My family I visited for dinner for the birthday celebration of a family member. We were seated right away since we had a reservation. The place was pretty packed. The decor of the old farm house mostly consisted of old cooking utensils, and the lights are made from old wagon wheels. The wait staff was very friendly and attended to our group as soon as we were seated. The did not do drinks in the regular manner you'd see at a restaurant. The offered only tea, lemonade, or water. They also had a wine menu but not readily available. The start of the meal was rolls, but it felt like they didn't bring enough for everyone. There was a salad after which consisted of only lettuce with dressing. It was a very sad looking salad, but the lettuce was at least fresh. The dressing was decent. The only dressing offered though was the house dressing. The meal itself is served family style with free refills on all items. We had beef burgundy which was way overcooked, dry, and flavorless. I'm pretty sure it was made with frozen beef preformed patties. We also had crab imperial, and home made fried chicken which were both good. The sides included sweetened carrots, corn fritters, brocolli with cheese, and cinnamon and sugar apples. All of which were good but not exceptional. They were very accommodating for my son with allergies and made an entire meal just for him which was awesome. He rarely can go a restaurant and get full from the meal, not so with this place. This is what pushed this average place up to 4 stars for me. In the end though I don't know that I would go back or recommend this place to anyone except for family get togethers. The price is on the higher side for dining at $27 per adult and $11 per child. The food was just decent, and the experience wasn't that memorable.
