I experienced a night nurse who was wonderful by the name of Ashley on the 2nd floor who was awesome and caring. The clerk who took calls did not give my call messages to the nurse. I had to call an hour later again to get help twice. Asking for medication from 4:00 a.m. until finally getting it at 10:00 a.m. The morning nurse (Michelle) was horrible. It was all about the power to her and nothing about me as the patient. She refused to let me break pain meds in half and take it 1/2 then and 1/2 an hour later as I had done the night before. Therefore I was extremely nauseous. Upon getting ready to leave I was given a shot in my stomach, I had had 4 or 5 by other nurses was told how to hold my skin tight to keep it from hurting when given and none of them hurt doing it that way. Upon me telling the nurse what I had been told she told me she had her way of doing it instead. That was the most painful thing I had ever experienced while I was there. It felt that she was trying to hurt me as much as possible. Refused to let me break pain meds in half and take it 1/2 then and 1/2 an hour later as I had done the night before. Therefore I was extremely nauseous. I have never been so badly by a nurse. This was the most horrible experience I have ever experienced in a hospital and at the hands of a nurse. I was afraid and just wanted to get out no matter how I felt.
