I would not recommend this place to anyone! We bought our travel trailer from the Houston location (it is actually in Wharton, about a 2 hour drive) I wish I had taken the time to research the dealer as much as the particular trailer we wanted. Should have known from the beginning, when the salesman lied to us about a delivery date. We wanted the trailer by a particular date. The salesman ensured us that if we put down a deposit, the trailer would be delivered in 4 weeks because he would call the manufacturer and make sure our specific choices for the trailer would be put in one of the trailers already "on the line" of manufacturing. Needless to say, that was the first lie. We called the week of what we thought was the delivery week only to be told that there must have been some kind of misunderstanding because our trailer wasn't due to be delivered until 4 more weeks, 8 weeks total! Of course, our deposit was non-refundable, so we waited. Our salesman never even owned up to lying to us. We didn't deal with him any more, but our new salesman would only say that "that date was never told to you. It's not possible." Anyway, after having the trailer for a couple of months, some issues came up. My husband called the service department and was told that Fall was their busiest time of the year for repair work and we should wait to bring it in after December (we wanted it for hunting season). We use our trailer almost every weekend, so it was June before we called the service department again. We are told again it their busiest time of the season. Gary told me it would be 2 weeks AFTER we dropped the trailer off before it would even be put in a service bay to be looked at. I waited 3 weeks after dropping it off to call and check on the progress. It was still just sitting, on their lot, not looked at yet. He said he would put it on the board for that Thursday. I called on Friday, and Gary told me it had not gotten in a service bay yet because his boss, Bandy, kept putting other trailers before ours. I asked him why he told me at drop off it would take 2 weeks to get it in a service bay, but yet here it was almost 4 weeks later and it was still sitting, waiting. He said "as it states in the contract, it could take 4 to 8 weeks just to get it in a service bay." I asked "then why did you lie to me and say it would be two weeks?" I didn't get a copy of a contract when I dropped off the trailer. How would I know what it says? Anyway, this kind of service and excuses went on for another week until I finally just got angry one day and hung up on him. My husband handled it from that point on. He made several calls, given the same excuses. He finally contacted Forest River directly, and spoke to a representative. He was very helpful. Within a day or two, our trailer was in a service bay being repaired, finally! Unfortunately, it doesn't end there. When we got the trailer, we went straight out of town, camping. We found that 2 of the things are still not fixed! We don't want to take it back there, so not sure what we are going to do. Overall, THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON- EXISTENT!
