Wonderful hospital! I had a series of MAJOR surgeries here at Portsmouth. I went in skeptical. You so often hear negative feedback for military healthcare in general. My experiences have been quite the opposite but with a major healthcare decision to make, the negativity lingered in my mind. When I first met my doctors, it was an instant sigh of relief. I knew I was in the right hands. The doctors are more than capable. The nurses and corpsmen were attentive and kind. I'm so glad I made Portsmouth my choice.

Yes, parking sucks. A few of the front desk personnel in various clinics could have benefited from an attitude adjustment. But, in the grand scheme of things these are minor gripes. The excellent care far outweighs a few bad attitudes and the need for more parking spaces. Plan accordingly. You're there because you need to be.
