Diana Cintron Review of The Pep Boys - Manny, Moe, and...
I feel they have robbed my money.
I feel they have robbed my money.
I explained the problem with the engine, and battery lights turning on in the dashboard.
That the car while driving will go out of "charge".
Asked if maybe was a sensor or electrical.
I was told that had to have a diagnosis from "the machine".
The rep comes out and says "my mechanic says the alternator and the serpentine belt, has to be replaced.
I asked him, your mechanic or the machine?
He replied, the mechanic checks what the machine reads.
I told him, so both are wrong.
My car turns on, and runs.
As far as the serpentine belt, I replaced it about 1 1/2 month ago.
With no patience he said, you need to replaced the alternator. That's what the diagnosis says.
To make it short. My car was there for 2 days.
They supposedly changed the alternator twice, charged me $310. , and the car still has the same problem.
He told me you need to take the car to an electrician.
We do have one on another location.
I asked , so why didn't you call him to come over?
What assures me that my alternator was bad?
He kept walking towards outside because it was closing time, and said "be careful driving, do not turn on the lights, nor the a/c.
You should try to get $3000, and buy a nice used car.
Reaaaaally?
My car is still parked. And I have a bill of $310 on my credit card.
I'm about to check if I can dispute that charge.
