my whole experience was horrible due to staff and how the whole department operated. upon arrival I was given a form to fill out by a male working the front desk. I filled the paper out and patiently waited for him to acknowledge me and another young woman. he seemed to be filling out paperwork, however a simple I ll be right with you would have been more acceptable. unfortunately he glanced up at us and then proceeded to finish doing whatever he was doing with the paperwork. he finally asked did you ladies need something in a tone like he did not want to be bothered. as a patient who is in pain the last thing we need is to feel like the one place who is supposed to take care of us do not want to be bother. my second issue was the young women who were sitting and working the emergency trauma entrance upon arrival. they were constantly holding conversations amongst each other and gossiping about other patients. in my opinion that was very unprofessional. not one of them was doing their job, the whole time they proceeded to engage in conversation being loud and goofing off. another issues is sanitation. when one patient is called back to discuss their medical conditions their is no cleaning or sanitizing being done after a patient gets up which is very alarming not only for patients but staff as well. the 6ft guidelines were not being followed. they moved myself and other patients to another waiting area where we waited at least 2 hours to get covid testing done. an additional hour to receive our results. we were all sitting in a secluded room and called one by one out into the hall where we were given our results. thank for mine came back negative however two people were called before me out into the hall and came back in saying their results were positive. having us all in a small room together with no real space I. between is puts us in jeopardy of leaving the hospital with covid because we were next to someone else who had it and nurses on duty were not sanitizing areas after a patient left. my final issue will be with nurse Kristen L. for her rudeness towards another patient. nurse Kristen came in to discharge an older woman who was clearly in a wheelchair and unable to walk. Kristen told the woman to follow her to the front, the woman asked her how was she going to be able to do that due to her situation. well ms. Kristen decided to say well how do you get around at home . when is it ever okay for a staff member to be rude and ugly towards a patient and mock their conditions.? I will never visit your hospital again because of my experience ... service was horrible and that is not okay.
