We visited Pipestem Resort State Park for a hike with our dog. We first hiked to Indian Branch Falls. In summer, the foliage blocked most of the waterfall and it was too steep to get down with a dog. The hike to Heritage Point, behind the Canyon Rim Center, was more successful. The views looking down into the gorge were great and we could see the lodge far below. The lookout tower was another great hike with fantastic views from Pipestem Knob. We had pizza dinner at the lodge, they have outdoor seating to eat with the dog. It's a really great park with lots to do - golf course, paddling on Bluestone River, and even a zipline course. Would like to return and camp or stay at the lodge down in the canyon.
