I went to Three pints pub yesterday on 08/13/2020. The bar is nice and cozy the bartenders are very nice and polite. I understand that with everything that is happening with the COVID there are new regulations being follow by every bar/restaurant. My only problem was that went I asked the bartender about how much percentage of food per alcohol was needed in the tab to comply by the new regulations. Bartender started that it was not a percentage but the rule was an appetizer counts for 2 alcoholic drinks and entree counts for 4 alcoholic drinks per person. I had no problem complying with this and in fact was hungry and looking forward to trying the cubano sandwich. I told the bartender that i would like my drinks first and then the sandwich since i don t enjoy drinking alcohol and eating food at the same time. I did mention to the bartender who had my card already to add the sandwich to my tab In case she thought i was not going to order the sandwich. The bartender denied my request and states she needed to had my food in my table in order to bring the beer to comply with TABC regulations. The protocol by TABC per the bartender was to have food in the table and then she could bring beer so i order and appetizer to start drinking and i had the guacamole with chips. Chips were great ,fresh but the guacamole was plain with no flavor at all. I told the bartender i did not enjoy it The appetizer she could removed it from the table since the guacamole had a foul odor. But i did not mind paying for it to follow the TABC protocol stated by the bartender. The bartender then stated she had to leave it there and i had to be eating it regardless per TANB protocols. At that moment i asked the bartender if she could please show me the TABC protocols and stated she did not k know where to find this information. I told her that is not a problem and i ses you have other table and i don t want to keep her busy so i asked for her manager. Nick was the manager that night he got to the table and he seem to be pressure since the moment he got to see me. He came in and stared: I m the manager how
Can i help you? I stated hi your waiter been awesome the bar is great! I don t really enjoy but appetizers but everything has been great so far. Just wondering if you can show me where all the TABC protocols are located especially the one of the need to buy and entree per person to get 4 beers? Since in all bar/restaurants it is always a percentage of food/alcohol. Nick the manager very rudely stated look it up on TABC.gov . I told Nick yeah but im just trying to find the protocol of the food how do i exactly fond that one? I pull my phone and show him the webpage for TABC and Nick stared: oh yeah it should be somewhere there you look for it . Ask for nick for assistance of if he had one the owner gave manager to follow and Nick remain being rude and even closed my tab. I ask nick his name because i never dealt with a manager so rude. I usually enjoy coming to this bar with friends and family and to be treated like that is a shame. The only difference that night from any other night was that i was wearing my scrubs at the bar, and it felt like since the moment i got there they did not like having a nurse in the bar. It was early in the day and was planning on going for 2 -3 beers and getting a Cubano with my girlfriend. Very disappointed ..
