I ordered a spare tire from Youngblood for a Kia Rio that my girlfriend leases; so I wouldn't have to keep bringing the car into the service center to get flats repaired after using the 'emergency flat repair kit'.

Due to a misunderstanding, the parts department ordered a Spare Tire Kit, consisting of a 'donut' tire and the accessories to go with it. What I had wanted was a full size spare; so I could replace the flat with a good tire and she could continue to drive on that, while I took the flat to the service department and had them fix the flat. When I called and straightened out the mix-up; totally my fault I'm sure; they did order a used rim and full size tire for her car.

I waited, until they got the spare tire into the parts department and called to inform me of the fact, AND gave them a week extra before I went in to pick up the spare.

What should have been a 10 minute experience turned into a 45 minute wait because the parts department:

a.) hadn't adjusted the bill to reflect the difference in price of a full size spare and rim from that of a 'spare tire kit.'
b.) had some difficulty with their computer system when entering the information about the different prices of the "spare tire kit" and a "full size spare tire with rim"

While they had had over two weeks to enter the information into their system and I added to that amount of time by calling an hour BEFORE I would arrive to pick up the actual spare tire and rim (along with a canister for the emergency flat fix kit) nothing had been done to deal with the information before I arrived.

Normally our experience with Youngblood Kia has been excellant to outstanding; from the services rendered by the leasing person to the maintenance departments consistancy (though sometimes slow they were available and helpful) and including our other experiences with the parts department, we have usually been very satisfied with Youngblood's professionalism and quality.

The only negatives that we feel should be addressed would be in the service department scheduling appoiintments and then taking 'walk-in' customers on a first come/first served basis, instead of taking the appointments at their scheduled times and this instance of the parts department not being completely prepared before I arrived to pick up the spare tire.

Thank ou for this opportunity to offer my consideration and review of Youngblood Kia in Springfield, MO.
