Review of Oakville Toyota

i made an appointment for my Corolla 2014 S last Friday. My Corolla has had problem with its standard transmission from the day I picked it up brand new, particularly with the clutch. The problem seems getting worse so I did an extensive research. The problem is a well documented design and manufacturing defect which Toyota is well aware of it. I took the car to Oakville Toyota at 11:30 am. The first unsavory encounter was with their rude and mouthy service writer. That person right off the bat tried to downplay and dismiss the issues that I am having with my Corolla. Then, he called his service manager who he referred as Dan. Another rude and full of himself employee of the dealership, he wanted to take my car for a test drive, and I rightfully so decided to accompany him. The problem with my car normally is intermittent, but that day it showed itself to the full extent mainly because that guy was such a bad driver and was not able to handle stick shift. The clutch was shaking and vibrating, slipping and jerking what is well documented by the many other owners of Corollas with standard transmission. But the service manager Dan started telling lies shamelessly at my face. He said the car is perfect and he also drives standard (Yeah right ha ha!). Anyway, he was dismissive and a lier, beside being very rude and snobbish. Other reviewer have also pointed to him being dismissive and a very rude person. Anyway, after the test drive which I am sure helped my transmission and clutch self destruct faster due to his poor driving and gear changing skills, he sprinted to the service writer, whispered something to him and left, a great display of a socially inept individual calling himself a manager. The service writer was on the phone that he claimed was with Toyota technical assistance. He completely misrepresented my issues as the shifting issues not the clutch problem, and then said that Toyota does not have any reported issues with that. Anyway, I told him that I disagree, but that rude person turned to his monitor screen ignoring my comments. I left in disgust, then I called the dealership to provide feedback but was placed on hold indefinitely so I hung up. It is interesting that after any visit I was getting a phone call for providing feedback but this time I did not receive any. They are very selective in seeking feedback for their performance. And, skip the poor ones! I read the comments, the poor ones are very similar to my disgusting recent experience with them. The high rated ones are mostly similar such as written short, non descriptive, sometimes in similar styles. It is a sizable operation and surely there have many employees to force provide fake reviews. I would have given them no star if I had the option after my dreadful experience with them. If they continue using those kind of employees, they are going to lose lots of business to their competitors.
