My husband and I recently lost our fur baby of ten years. We were unsure if we were ready to add another fur baby back into our lives, but the Lynchburg Humane Society made it such an easy process. There weren't any puppies the day I arrived and none of the adult dogs seemed like the best fit for my husband and I. I began speaking to I believe, Mary, who informed me of a litter they transferred in who were not ready yet. She kindly went into the back and took a picture of all the puppies for me. She explained the hold process and walked me through how to make sure I would be able to adopt one of these sweet pups. A few days later, my husband and I returned and took our girl home. She was a delight to work with and shed happy tears alongside us. She was so patient with us as we cried through doing our paperwork! We are so grateful for this experience and would adopt from here again! I highly recommend adopting through this organization. It was beautiful and all the dogs and cats looked well loved and cared for!
