If you want to enjoy a challenging golf course and then relax in the evening with your family in town, head to Cypress Lakes Resort Hunter Valley.
We stayed there early Jan'21 for 3 nights.
What's there for the family...depends what you were intending to do in the first place.
Kids can enjoy decent sized swimming pool, play tennis or basketball or Golf.
Family bistro is functional and provide good eating options.
Breakfast menu is standard but quite tasty. Please do include this in your accommodation booking.
The place can improve upon the actual accommodation, which I believe is let out and could be investment properties managed by Oaks.
