Very idyllic attraction in the middle of the Yorkshire Dales National Park with picturesque views of Wensleydale and the surrounding area. The castle itself itself is in pretty good condition bearing in mind the age of it and there are informative interesting displays detailing the life of the people that lived and the purpose of each room. The gardens themselves are small but beautiful and the whole place is nicely topped with wild boar and falconry displays which themselves are excellent to watch and the persons running them are knowledgeable. Admissions and shop priced are very reasonable and the staff are warm and friendly. Overall a great place to visit for a day out and worth recommending.
