Tried their $30 diagnostic service. Tech just speculated about all the things that could be wrong and hardly did any troubleshooting. Said they would get back to me and never did either. Tried to upsell replacing all the equipment. Winded up just using youtube/google and diagnosed / fixed problem myself.

EDIT: Hi Pete- The problem I had was an error code on the control valve which indicated pressure sensor issue. My expectation was that the tech will come with equipment to identify/narrow down the component(s) that may be causing the issue and provide options, eg having a simple manometer to check if the negative air pressure generated from the blower matches the specs required by the pressure sensor. (which was the root cause). instead, tech just wiggled a few connections, and kept saying my tank is old and its not worth replacing just one part and I should buy a whole new water tank. I insisted on exploring replacing parts, and they took some part numbers and said they will get back to me and never did. Cost of the new blower was $350 vs a new hot water heater which would have been well over 1k.
