I had my 2014 Ford Focus towed for service and the tried to diagnose the problem and first replaced wire which they guessed was pinched which did not fixed the problem and next they replaced ECM and the car started. They charged me around $700.00 for the wire which was not the problem and interestingly, two weeks after the repair I got the letter from Ford Corporation regarding a Re-call on ECM . Had they diagnosed the problem correctly, the repair would have been free of charge , because the ECM recall. I called the service department, David Addison and explained the situation and service manager told me that recall does not apply to my car and I tried to explain that my Vin number is on top of the recall letter then he asked mo to email the recall letter to verify the Vin number and if it matches, then it would be different story and will follow up on that and will get back to me, however he never replied to my email and never answered my call.I called Ford corporation and explained the situation and they advised me to take the paperwork to any Ford dealership to resolve the problem.
They are very irresponsible and dishonest and I will never take my car to this dealership.
