My mother went to Desert Regional, last night, because she has had a digestive issue which seems to alternate between constipation and bloody diarrhea for over a week. We had to wait two-and-a-half hours before she could even be seen--with norovirus patients being seen before AND after she was admitted--and she had to battle with them just to even get a blood test (they were gonna send her on her way without even treating her).

It should be noted that, a few years ago, my father was admitted to this same hospital one night, when he passed out on stage during one of his music gigs, and was simply given a "tonsilitis" diagnosis and sent home (he was later diagnosed with Stage 4C cancer, from which he eventually died).

Also noteworthy: this is not the only hospital that has mistreated my parents. And frankly, it terrifies me that a hospital facility would treat ANY of its patients like this.

Oh, and uhhh, the hospital staff was extremely rude. They acted as if our presence was, somehow, an inconvenience to them. No compassion on their part, whatsoever.
