Called yesterday for an echo-cardiogram, arrived at 12:40 for my 13:00 appointment, I checked in at reception and sat down in a very quiet waiting area. At 13:40 some 40mins after my appointment should have started I went back to reception as I hadn't been seen yet. Firstly a different lady to whom I registered with asked me if I'd checked in at this desk to which I replied yes, she then seemed to find my form and said it had been busy to which I told her I'd been there over an hour and she may well have been busy but apart from myself only one other gentleman had been in the waiting area so obviously this area (G5) hadn't, she didn't seem to like the fact I had politely contradicted her. She then went off to see someone and then went to see the person who was to carry out the echo-cardiogram and shortly after that I was called through. My echo-cardiogram only took 15mins yet my Doctor had previously told me it would take 45mins to do what he had requested and also the Lady who rang me to confirm my appointment also said she'd had difficulty fitting me in as it was a double appointment taking 45mins, however my echo-cardiogram was done in only 15mins I mentioned twice to the lady doing the echo-cardiogram that my Doctor had told me it would take 45mins but she was insistant 15mins was fine. In conclusion I feel I wasn't given a full echo-cardiogram in order that she could catch time up for the next patient. Overall very disapointed with treatment and attitude no wonder the NHS is going down the pan!!!!!!!
