The Luxor is incredibly outdated. The tower rooms are much more renovated and up to date.

The staff just barely meet the minimum requirements for hospitality and respect. They will NOT be helpful or hospitable if you have a serious issue that requires anyone to have independent thought about how to resolve the issue. Even after getting supverisors involved.

If you want to just stay in the room and then explore Vegas on your own, this is the right choice. You're far south on the strip, and it's about 20 dollars max to get up north to Fremont. Otherwise this hotel is considered a "budget" hotel and it definitely shows.

The good part is that it has interior access to Mandalay Bay and Excalibur. So don't even bother spending time in the Luxor itself if you know what's good for you. Don't bother with any of the myvegas rewards, or anything.
