I was contacted out of the blue after they claimed to have read my CV. They had a job which they thought I would be interested in and I was. Upon a phone conversation I was left thinking what a waste of time (and I was even told that it would be a waste of time to apply), because the person who had contacted me had clearly not read my CV properly. As it goes, I actually satisfy a lot of the successful candidate requirements of that job (only fall short on 1 or 2) and some of the desirable criteria, but not enough questions were asked about my technical competences.

I was asked a lot of questions about my employment history and my salary aspirations. I was asked some questions about my knowledge and experience, but I believe the questions I was asked were not appropriately worded, phrased or direct enough to give a straight answer.

As I know Redrock read these reviews, maybe you should take note that if you are to contact a potential applicant, do your research first and read the CV properly.
