What a stressful experience.

What a stressful experience.
My 3 yr old female pit bull ate a one ounce block of mouse poison and broke out in hives. When I realized what happen and how she swelled up and was in discomfort, I immediately took her to the animal hospital.
I then had to call poison control and pay $60 for a case number for the vet. Poison control asked me a series of questions about the poison she ingested. (So grab the bag and bring it with you)
The vet reviews the case number and treats your pet accordingly
Luckily, my pet didnt digest enough poison and simply had an allergic reaction. Was given two injections and taken home.
She is acting normally, but still recovering and still has some signs (lumps) on her.

Overall this experience cost me $325 for the hospital and $60 for poison control.
My advise: pay to exterminate the mice and dont put down mouse poison.
