I LOVED this school. Key word.... lovED. The majority of my time here, I felt seen, accepted, and like I mattered. There are several professors who really made me feel like family. I had previously attended a different chiropractic college where I felt like a number and asked for help and got none. Coming to Sherman felt like the best decision, and for a while it was. I've had the dream to become a chiropractor since I was 13 and I'm now 28. I came from a low income family, my mom and dad never going to college, but I still knew I could become a doctor if I tried really hard. I dreamed and dreamed of the day I'd graduate with my doctorate, defying odds, overcoming immense challenges to finally walk across that stage... you say this review seems like I'd recommend the college... I would have... until this year. I understand that with COVID, doing an online graduation was probably going to happen, we petitioned, they advised us, it was for our safety. I was devastated. I wanted to write this review SO bad, but I thought to just drop it, because it was COVIDs fault, not there's. Today... 3 MONTHS after my online graduation date...not much has changed in the world... and they are holding graduation for the December and March graduating classes.... IN PERSON.... and they aren't even wearing masks. I am BEYOND happy for the graduating class, but I'm furious for mine. I never ever ever am one to say "this is about me" but THIS graduation, MY GRADUATION, was about me.... and now I'll never get it.
