I had an area in my small kitchen that I wanted a sturdy shelf for. It is about an 8" area behind a frequently used door. It had to be sturdy for my cast iron cookware as well. I got the shelf and assembled it myself-very easy to do. It fits great and makes great use for that awkward space. WONDERFUL!!
