This once serene and beautiful resort is undergoing massive disruptive deconstruction. It is euphemistically referred to as renovation but the entire center of the resort is undergoing demolition. There is no quiet part of the hotel. The pool area has heavy equipment digging, rock breaking, and earth moving happening right exactly next to the tables at the pool bar. This goes on six days a week, all morning and all afternoon. Soon there will be no pool and no food service. Room rates are not adjusted to compensate - Groupon is selling the least expensive ones at $298 a night today. The parking gate arm is lifted so if you self park there are no fees. We were not advised of the extent of the disruptive activity and even when the noise around us was such we could barely hear the desk clerk, we were met with raised eyebrows that noise such as this and fumes and flying dirt would possibly matter to us on holiday. The website advises the new owners (who do not self identify at this point but we are told it is Marriott) are focused on meeting the needs of tomorrow's guests. For those visiting today, good luck. Your needs don't seem to matter.
