Stefanie Scarlet Review of Garden State Veterinary Specia...
I brought my 13 year old cat there after an incide...
I brought my 13 year old cat there after an incident with her. I wanted blood work done with results asap. Dr Michelle Huey was the vet at the time. After 4 hours of waiting, I was given blood results and an analysis of it via telephone call. Based on the results I decided to take my cat home with the thought of bringing her back to her regular vet. When I went to pay the fee, I asked for a copy of the blood results. I then noticed that on the results in two separate spots that the species labeled was DOG! I pointed out the error and was told it was common and that the "computer defaults to that". When the tech brought my cat out to leave, he stated that the doctor was going to run the blood again because I was upset. Regardless I took my cat home. An hour later I get a call from the Dr telling me everything was ok with the new blood sample. I asked that the results be emailed to me. Well, new blood results were NOT the same and my cat needs to get blood drawn again. The next day when I called to say I was not going to pay for the blood draw I was told I had to pay. Told them I would put a stop on my credit card and they wouldn't get paid for anything regarding the visit. I could not get past the lies they told to cover themselves. They later called back to give me the refund I requested.
Lesson learned: always get paper results for your animal(not just forward to regular Dr). Always take the time to read the results carefully.
