Lovely hotel in the centre of Grasmere. Friendly reception. Was given a free upgrade to the Tennyson suite for our wedding anniversary, we didn't ask for a possible upgrade so it was a wonderful surprise. Beautiful room, spotlessly clean with some lovely touches. We ate in the bistro and the food was exceptional. Beautiful grounds. Would recommend.
