Bureaucracy continues to be a huge problem here at DMHAS!! Because, nobody there seems to have any knowledge of what they"re doing. My current employer interacts a lot with DMHAS to try to help people overcoming addiction and mental health issues. However, DMHAS has too much bureaucracy which prevents them from helping me be effective with my clients. For example, every time I call up here I get transferred to a thousand different departments about the same issue. When, it should be just be one time I have to call up to get the answers I need for my clients. Also then, there are several times when some of the employees there do not have basic answers!! For example, routine matters and questions which they should know the answers to? I can't undestand that. Nobody in DMHSA seems to know what they are doing, and can be very frusterating for others of us trying to get help for some of the community s vulnerable members. Finally, DMHAS employees have told me the wrong information about state regulations and procedures on several occasions!! State regulations affecting my clients basic needs and services. Which, has caused serious delays in several of them getting what they need and rely on! No specifics can be given here, because I have to protect my clients confidentiality. However, DMHAS has to improve a lot in this area of making sure the information they provide to the public is accurate. Plus, a few of the employees in D MHAS are very rude and no help at all!!! For example, there are a couple ladies there who always have serious attitude problems every time I call in to ask questions. Therefore, DMHAS needs to train all its employees on how to be more respectful and accommodating to all members of the community. And, this is not just my experience either r! Several of my clients who I work with at my current company have complained about getting the bureaucratic run-around from DMHAS too!! Since, they can t get help with the questions they have or the services they need! So therefore, DMHAS has a lot of improvement to make to the community. Maybe once they read this review, they will finally become more accommmodating and less bureaucratic to the public!
