Unacceptable. The cost far outweighs the value. When Cove bought Point Sebago in 2018 from the Gould family, the site went down hill at an alarming pace. So many of their photos on the site now are wrong. Those activities are not there anymore. Cove took 'em down, did not keep the Margarita, do not have evening beach activities for the kids the way the Gould family did. Today, August 2020, Point Sebago is just the address NOT the resort. No discounts for a lesser vacation was ever mentioned by Cove.
I paid full price for this 'pizza' while Cove gave me 4 'slices' while the reservation person, Laura sounded so sorry some things were closed due to the virus. Then where is my discount? no no you pay full price. No life guards, at the beach, the beach is open for anything you want to do, any float you want to bring, swim way out beyond the ropes.
Very limited staff cleaning the grounds. My trailer (not cabin) had a 'funny smell'. I think some critter had died under it. My trailer was not level; like waking downhill every time I walked from one end to the other. The laminate flooring would 'crinkle' ...lift up as we walked on it. Prices in the snack bar went way up with portions about half of the previous years. We didn't go in the restaurant this year for breakfast since the food has been so mediocre. With a high price.
So: false advertising, brochure calls a trailer a cabin (sounds more cozy doesn't it), short staff, not clean, no key deposit return, more money for less food, no activities for kids after dinner....we've been going here for 8 years and will not continue. We've watched the way it used to be, now it's unacceptable.
