My 8 almost 9 year old was assessed by The Ridge staff, she was stating hearing and seeing things and homicidal thoughts because of this , and suicudal ideation. I thought my child was oppositional and had behavior issues and the counselor was very helpful on the Child Unit and explained to me that children CAN see and hear things and IT IS possible. They helped me muddle through things as a parent and was very friendly and helpful. She received phenominal care and was fed 7 times a day! She was released with a safety plan and medication and is doing well! It is hard having a kid with a mental health problem and they was very supportive during the difficult time. Everyone was amazing! Thank you The Ridge! I don't know if I could thank them enough! Muah 5 stars and happy tears from a Proud Mommy of an Honor roll child with mental health difficulties! :) I left with a smile on my face!
