Donna DeChirico Review of Long Island Veterinary Special...
I brought my Dachund who had gone lame in the morn...
I brought my Dachund who had gone lame in the morning to the clinic. I ws giving a 85% success rate if we had a laminectomy performed. We pre-paid for the operation and then left. I brought my dog home 3 days later without anything but written instructions. No one showed us how to express his bladder. No one explained what we should expect. When I brought my fur baby back for his post operative appointment (three weeks later), he was taken out of the room to be examined. Then when the vet broght him back in he said my dog was not responding as well as he should be and maybe we should consider buying him a wheel chair. Guess that was the way the vet was letting me know that his operation had failed. But then still prescriped medication which cost me an additional $121 above the cost of the $6,300 dollar operation. I had to bring my dog to my private vet for him to tell me that my dog would never walk again as he had no pain sensation in his hind quarters.
I seriously believe that this clinic is just about the money. Find a place with caring vets
