We went to Washington D.C. on a family trip. My daughter wanted to go to the Holocaust Memorial Museum because her friends had told her about it. I really didn't want to go because I wanted it to be a happy trip and not a depressing / sad one. After entering the museum we met an incredible volunteer, Will Stewart who gave us a tour of an exhibit downstairs before we went into the main memorial museum. I learned more in an hour with Mrs. Stewart than I think I did in all my high school history classes. It made the rest of the museum a better experience.

I'd highly recommend this museum for anyone going to Washington D.C. It was VERY eyeopening.
