The Zoological Park La Aurora is a zoological park in the city of Guatemala, Guatemala. It is one of the largest gardens in the city. The zoo has three different areas, where you can see animals from Asia, America and Africa. The zoo was founded in 1924 in the southern part of the city, as part of a large distraction area, later called Parque Reforma, with several museums, parks and a racetrack. Later, with the conversion of a small airfield in the International Airport La Aurora, the park was intensely diminished. The remains of an old viaduct. It can be found in the vicinity of the park. In 2007, the racecourse was demolished due to further expansion of the airport.
