We stayed here in September and had an excellent time. Location wise in Lake Placid it doesn't get much better than the Mirror Lake Inn, your about a 2 minute walk into town that has tons of shops and restaurants. We considered the Whiteface Lodge as well which is about 2 miles from town and very nice too, but the location of the Mirror Lake Inn was to hard to pass up. Also the food was outstanding at both restaurants on the property especially at the View. I'd highly recommend it here for your trip to Lake Placid.
