I made a visit to the ER last night for an allergic reaction, which I ve never had. The receptionist that checked me in was so fast and she walked me to the back into a room where a nurse and doctor were already waiting. The nurse (I wish I remembered her name, but she had pretty blonde hair pulled back) and Dr. Padilla got an EPI administered, Benadryl and a steroid and got all my vitals done within 5 minutes. They both also stayed for the first twenty minutes observing and talking my husband and I through what was happening and getting a history. They gave us space for about 10 minutes and were back checking on us every few minutes. Upon discharge the nurse and doctor explained everything in detail and reiterated to check in with them and my primary doctor today. The insurance lady, Stephanie was also efficient. In the past I absolutely dreaded going to the ER and will avoided it if possible. This is my first visit in years and I m really grateful for their kindness, efficiency, respect and hard work.
