Currently here for my honeymoon with my husband. Overall I would say I m unfortunately not as impressed as others seem to be. From the moment we got here everything seemed so rushed. We announced to the front desk that it was our honeymoon and felt like it was no big deal. We later noticed the following day that others had signs on their doors for their honeymoon, anniversary, etc.. however we had to ask for ours on day 2. Also, we asked about possibly seeing if we could upgrade to preferred as we realized it might make our stay feel more like a honeymoon. However, once again the front desk kind of shrugged it off. Like it was too late or something. We tried to not stress over small things and went to relax on the beach or pool, but towels were practically on every seat. Apparently people reserve them with their towels all day even if they aren t even there.

UPDATE:
After posting our original review the staff definitely tried to make our stay much better. We were moved to another room with a poolside view. Also, our room was decorated with rose petals. It definitely helped change our mood. We ended up buying the private dinner on the beach and absolutely loved it! Definitely worth every penny! Also, we found out with only a couple days to spare that Secrets guests can also go next door to the family resort. We definitely wished we would have known sooner! There is a casino and an adults only club which was pretty cool. Overall, our honeymoon was pretty good. Our only final gripe was simply the overcrowded beach and pool area. You seriously do have to wake up super early and be at the towel hut in order to get a good spot. But other than that we did have a pretty good stay.
