For a new expensive addition, the International Terminal is an awful place for travel to and from the US. Often, gate checked bags from smaller aircraft get sent to baggage claim on arrival. Security is very slow. Distances from the Domestic to International side are long and accessed by walking or by little trams that look like they belong in an amusement park. I have Global Entry and it is almost always slower than the regular line. As a United frequent flyer and Star Alliance Gold, I cannot access the only lounge (Aspire- operated by Swissport). This is for select Amex card holders, some Air Canada flyers (the host there couldn t explain much about status except business class, and only on an Air Canada flight), so even if you are United 1K you are out of luck unless you have one of the other magic keys. Food in the main concourse area is as bad as airport food gets. Thanks god there are some bars so one can drink to numb this experience. In future I will avoid this place as much as possible and fly into Edmonton or Vancouver whenever possible.
