My son wanted to take his girlfriend to Gurneys as the perfect place to propose. I called ahead filled out paperwork faxed copies of my identification and credit card so I could pay for thier stay for two days. I was told although it was off season it would be 2260.00 I agreed. When my son arrived he presented his credit card for incidentals. They are happily engaged and said the hotel and staff were lovely. This is where our problems were encountered both my son and myself were charged for the entire bill. After making four calls to the hotel the mistake was finally acknowledged. We were essentially told sorry nothing we can do for you you should get your money back in five days, call your bank. No effort to apologize just sitting on the phone with silence on the other end. No matter how lovely the hotel was all that is remembered is how as first guest we were basically told sorry about your luck. Watch your credit card charges if you stay here.
