Sorry to say but don't waste your time or money here. I hate to put down a local business but dear God, I've been there probably 4 times and everytime it has been mediocre to terrible. The last time was around Aug/Sept 2018 and it was the worst. We decided to give it another try since they changed their menu and redecorated. Do not order their oysters. Yes it's a buck a shuck...yes $1. Just go and throw your money in the toilet now to save you the trouble. First if you are going to put oysters on the menu, train your staff, since neither of the wait staff had any idea what we said when we asked what kind of oysters/where it came from or just plain the name of this variety. The answer was they are just oysters....fine you have no idea. We ordered 2 dozens (how stupid were we..alarm bells?). It came with no sauce of any kind, no lemon , no hot sauce. No anything. We were hoping for mignonettes but willing settle for anything but got nothing. Took forever just to get the hot sauce. There were debris in 90% of the shuck oysters. In other words it tasted like dirt. Ok, let's move on to the cold unmelted cheese spinach dip. Yup! Who the hell messes up cheese and spinach. Everything we ordered were dissapointing. Tasteless, hideous presentation, cold and the portions were tiny. I realized this is not a buffet but when someone who is eating 1200 calories a day is complainging about the small portion sizes, it might be something to consider. To be honest, we threw away most of the food anyway so I guess who cares about portion sizes when no one wants to eat it. I see that they are trying to spruce up the menu with local poultry and produce but if your kitchen staff is churning out garbage it really doesn't matter how fresh the ingredients are..
I hope I am wrong but our friend who were with us have been there before separately and thought it was mediocre then but decided to give it a go again because I asked them to. Silly me! Retrain your kitchen staff or bring on Gordon Ramsey!!! I really wanted to like this place .
