Upon move in I noticed that the bathroom toilet did not have a seal around the bottom of it. The toilet started leaking from the bottom, where the toilet meets the floor. The apartment flooded. Called the emergency number that night. A repair man came out and said that it needed a seal ring and that he would be back in a few days to fix it. He never came back!!!!!!! Now Lakes of Chateau North is billing me $250 for the cost of the repair man to come out. Oh, by the way, when he submitted his repair report he said that the water was coming out of the top of the toilet and that we stopped it up. Clearly a lie.....I have expressed my concerns with Rachel, who works in the front office, about the repair charge. I am refusing to pay for a repair that was clearly not done. This is fraud... Oh yeah, my toilet is still not fixed and still leaks....Do not rent from this property.
'NOW, the story continues.... I am presently two weeks behind on my August rent. I get calls about twice a week from Rachel, who works in the office. She calls me on my cell phone then comes to my door and starts knocking very hard. I have explained to her that I intend to pay this months rent but will be late paying it. She told me a week ago that if I didn't pay all of the rent that day that Lakes of Chateau North will start eviction proceedings. I received a Court Order taped on my door. I have to go on August 21st to court where at that time I will have to go before the Judge and explain why I'm late paying my rent. Rachel has stated to me back in April 2020 that 1st Lake Properties does not fall under the Cares Act and can evict any renter.
Today I was home with my son. Around 1;00 pm I heard a loud knock on my door, then someone unlocking it and opened it. It was Rachel that came into my apartment. I was not only scared, but shocked she was standing in my doorway. I didn't know if my son and I were getting robbed. I was angry at her actions and told her to get out. I also told her that she is to never come into my apartment without my authorization.... She replied, that she came in to see if we vacated the apartment and that she has the right to do so. This is breaking and entering.
I WILL BE FILING A POLICE REPORT!!!!!
Forgot, This is the second time she has let her self into my apartment without my authorization.
Once again, NO NOT RENT FROM THIS PROPERTY EVER.....
