i) Due to terrorist and extremists threat perception, security has been very much tightened which is a welcome feature. However, on that pretext, senior citizens should not be treated in an uncivilized and disrespectful manner. On 04-7- 13, two security officials shadowed us from the main gate into the court hall and literally dragged us out of the court hall, the moment the Hon. Justice said something, perhaps, dismissing the case (W.P. No.316/2013) which was not audible in the din. It looked like a Kangaroo Court. When Hon. Justice overlooked a vital aspect of the case, I have tried to bring it to his kind notice but I was not permitted and me and my wife were taken out of the court hall holding our shoulders with all their strength (Thank God a Woman security official held my wife s shoulder) with brute force.
ii) Mike and public address system is to be arranged to ensure that the Hon. Judge s utterances/remarks are heard loudly with clarity.
iii) No proper seating arrangement is made to clients. We, old and infirm were forced to sit in the corridor in the sweltering heat until our turn came puffing and fuming.
iv) People who visit Supreme Court have no access to Canteen and the fate of the Diabetics and sick can very well be imagined as there is no Restaurant nearby. Lack of Drinking water coolers in adequate numbers.
v) Help Desks to be provided which are to be manned by the experienced people conversant with court procedures in filing .
vi) The charges for computer typing/scanning/binding to be prominently displayed to stop the present fleecing. The menace of touts to be curbed.
vii) There is stampede at the counters where documents are submitted with jostling and pushing. New building with ample elbow space and with cosy atmosphere is to be constructed for the convenience of the clients.
vii) There is an urgent need to open a stationery shop within the premises of the Supreme Court also as the one which is located now is on the other side of the road far away.
