No one likes IKEA? But with a few tricks, the trip can be made better:
1) Take it easy, have plenty of time if you plan to go all round on both floors.
2) If you only have one thing, check online or on the app, where it is located. Get it there and spend no time going through the entire store.
3) Find out where all the shortcuts are. Remember that a little used shortcut is to go through the boxes, get what you need, pay and then out to the car. Rarely takes more than 10-15 minutes.
4) Eat meatballs.
5) Lie away from the dispensing drink. Here IKEA has gone from almost having the country's best lemon soda to something they call "Nordic fruit water". I think some Swede has confused the terms "fruit water" and "brackish water", because it tastes awful. But the apple and pear side box is still very good.
6) Join the IKEA Family. Pay 25, - kroner for a light bulb that everyone else pays 99, - for.
