I'm a frequent business traveler and used my Marriott points to book a few days of vacation here with my wife and 4 yr old. It was not the level of service and overall experience one would expect from such an upscale resort.
First, the bad:
-Valet parking is $33 per day. If you don't valet, be prepared for an uphill hike every time you park your car. It could be a long walk unless you get lucky and find a not so far spot.
-We found a few bugs in our room. Just some sort of beetle I think, but my wife was not happy about it, and again shouldn't be found in an upper end resort.
-The food and drink there on property are way too high for what you get. We paid $8 for a peanut butter/jelly sandwich for our son, and it only got worse from there. I'm used to business travel where frankly it is expensed and I don't question it so much, but the prices here are high for a family vacation.
