My brother Jesper died early Wednesday morning in his home of a very aggressive cancer. He only got a short time from diagnosis to completion. I would very much like to thank Slagelse Hospital, both the reception and gastrointestinal surgery department, for their work, the days Jesper was in the hospital. In the difficult course we were met with kindness and hospitality. There was clarity and professionalism on the part of doctors and nursing staff, all delivered with warmth and compassionate understanding. It is clear that there is pressure on the wards, but the staff still managed to calm my brother during the difficult days. I am very happy with the great support to get Jesper home so he could sleep in his own home. Slagelse Hospital has been a good experience in a difficult situation.
